Working with us
Who do you work with?
Mostly established, owner-led service businesses in the Rochester area, often in home services, trades, and events, where the website is how new work comes in. We also work with businesses across the U.S. remotely. Smaller businesses are welcome too, through our simpler fixed-scope packages.
Do you only work with Rochester businesses?
No. We’re based in Rochester, NY, and work with clients across the country. Most of the work happens by phone, video, and email, so it goes just as smoothly wherever you are.
Who will I actually work with?
You work directly with the people who build and run your site. No account managers or handoffs, and a reply within one business day.
Can we meet in person?
Yes, when it helps. Most of the work happens by phone, video, and email, which keeps things moving, but we’re happy to meet in person around Rochester when it’s useful, like a project kickoff or a walkthrough of your new site.
Pricing
How do you price new projects?
New websites and automations are fixed-price proposals based on scope, never on the technology used. You’ll know the full cost before we start.
Do you offer bundles?
Yes, and they’re always optional. The most common is the Partner care plan plus Local SEO for $625 a month on one invoice, which costs less than buying both separately.
Are there long-term contracts?
Care plans are month to month. Local SEO has a 6-month minimum because that’s how long the work needs to show results. Automation support continues as long as the automations are running.
Websites
How much does a website cost?
New websites start at $1,500 for up to 3 pages, which suits new or very small businesses. Growth starts at $3,500 for established businesses that need up to 8 pages, a layout built to turn visitors into leads, analytics, and local SEO foundations. Larger sites start at $7,500+ and are scoped to what you need. Every project is a fixed-price proposal, so you know the cost before any work starts.
How long does a new website take?
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and feedback come together. You’ll get a clear timeline with your proposal, and we’ll tell you right away if anything changes it.
Do you build on WordPress, Shopify, or custom code?
Whatever fits your business best. We build custom sites and work with established platforms like WordPress and Shopify. The price is based on scope, not on the platform, so the recommendation is about what will work best for you.
Do I need to write the content myself?
No. You can provide your own copy, or we can write it for you as an add-on. Either way, we make sure every page is clear, answers what customers are asking, and is set up to be found in search.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. A redesign is priced the same way as a new build, by scope. If your current site has pages that already rank or bring in leads, we keep those URLs working with proper redirects so you don’t lose what you’ve built.
Can you add online booking, quotes, or a store?
Yes. E-commerce, online booking, and quote-request systems are available as add-ons, quoted with your proposal. We’ve built subscription stores and booking-and-payment systems that run without manual back-and-forth.
Search & AI answers
What is AEO?
AEO stands for answer engine optimization. It means making your business easy for AI tools like ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews, and Perplexity to understand and recommend. In practice it overlaps heavily with good local SEO: clear pages that answer real customer questions, consistent business information everywhere, and structured data that spells out who you are and what you do.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. We promise the work and clear reporting: what we did, how your visibility and leads are trending, and what we’re focusing on next.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Most businesses see early movement in Google Maps and search visibility within the first few months, with steadier gains after that. That’s why Local SEO has a 6-month minimum: it’s the shortest window where the work can show real results.
Do you help with our Google Business Profile?
Yes. It’s a big part of Local SEO. We fully set up your profile at the start, then keep it active each month with posts, photos, and updates, and we monitor and reply to reviews. It’s often the first thing a Rochester customer sees, before they ever visit your website.
What’s included in Local SEO each month?
About 4 hours of focused work: Google Business Profile posts, photos, and updates; review monitoring and responses; improvements to 1 or 2 pages on your site; listing cleanup; technical health checks; a check on how you appear in AI answers; and a short monthly report focused on leads and calls.
What isn’t included in Local SEO?
New pages or blog posts, link-building campaigns, paid ads, social media, and redesigns. Any of those can be quoted separately if you need them.
What do I need to provide for SEO?
Access to your Google Business Profile and website, a few new photos each month, and a habit of asking happy customers for reviews. We’ll make the review requests easy.
Automation & AI
What kind of tasks can you automate?
Anything repetitive that follows the same steps each time: sending new leads into your CRM with an instant follow-up email, sending quotes and contracts, collecting deposits, appointment reminders, review requests, and internal notifications. If your team does it the same way every week, it’s worth a look.
How much does automation cost?
Simple automations start at $500, and multi-step workflows and AI integrations start at $1,500. Each build is a fixed price, plus automation support at $75–$150 a month depending on how many workflows you have, so they keep working when the services they connect to change.
Do you build AI tools?
Yes, when they save real time. Examples include a website assistant that answers common questions, AI-assisted lead intake, and internal tools that draft quotes or summaries. AI usage is passed through at cost or included up to a stated cap, so there are no surprises.
Hosting & care
Do I have to be on a care plan?
Every site we host is on a care plan, because that’s how we keep it fast, secure, and backed up. Everything else is chosen individually. Plans start at $40 a month.
What’s the difference between Hosting, Care, and Partner?
All three include hosting, SSL, a CDN, daily backups, and uptime monitoring. Hosting ($40/mo) includes monthly security updates. Care ($100/mo) adds weekly updates, same-day help for urgent issues, and 30 minutes of content updates each month. Partner ($275/mo) adds 2 hours of content updates, a monthly performance report, and a quarterly strategy check-in.
What counts as a content update?
Changes to copy, images, and small styling tweaks on pages you already have. New pages and new features are quoted separately. Included update time doesn’t roll over to the next month.
How fast do you respond if something breaks?
We reply to every message within one business day. On Care and Partner plans, urgent issues like a site that’s down are addressed the same day.
Can you host a website you didn’t build?
Often, yes. We’ll look at your current site first and tell you honestly whether moving it makes sense or whether a rebuild would cost you less over time.
